RCD Status: The yacht conforms with the essential safety requirements of Directive 94/25EC (Recreational Craft Directive) and is categorised A – “Ocean”


Hull, Deck & Superstructure Construction:

·         White GRP/Balsa sandwich hull built with the infusion process, ensuring an optimized resin/glass fibre ratio; with dark blue hull lines.

·         Hull protected with a bisphenolic resin on outer layers of sandwich.

·         Composite hull structural grid (open type), glassed and glued to the hull (acrylatic urethane).

        7 x polished aluminium opening hatches, 4 x fixed portholes and 19 x opening ports.

        The interior woodwork of the Pilot Saloon 55 is built in teak and beeswaxed.

        The floorboards are made in wenge.

        The deck is doubled with a GRP liner on which foam vinyl covered slats are fastened.

        The hull liner is made in teak and/or vinyl covered slats.

        For outstanding comfort, mattresses are made of memory foam foam and cushions double density foam.

        All berths are equipped with a slatted base, with lee clothes, and have cold moulded teak fiddles around.
